I’m a 40 year old who makes a well above average salary, has excellent healthcare through my employer, and no major pre-existing conditions.

And I say: Take my money, please! Caring for fellow human beings is a moral obligation and nothing less. Trying to deny people healthcare for something they have no control over is nothing short of monstrous.
